Dhanush’s leading lady is a ‘woman of substance’

Shamitabh, the Hindi film directed by Balki is getting ready for release soon. The film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Dhanush and Akshara Haasan in lead roles. Shamitabh will reportedly showcase Dhanush as a speech and hearing impaired individual.

Music is being done by Balki’s favorite Ilayaraja and it is being said that Amitabh had sung a song in the film for which he practiced well and recorded in one go.

Camera is being handled by P C Sreeram who is apparently floored by the performance of the lead lady Akshara Haasan. In his microblogger, this legendary cinematographer says, “Akshara Hassan's performance in Shamitabh shows Indian cinema has one more women of substance. Her acting top notch”.
