''Ajith stood up and applauded'' - Gautham Menon

Ace director Gautham Menon must be a really happy man. On the one hand, he is busy with his much expected Ajith - Anushka starrer and on the other hand, his production venture Thanga Meengal won many honors at the recent 61st National Awards. Gautham recently recalled the moments following the announcement about Thanga Meengal's national level glory

"We felt very elated naturally. I was at my Ajith film's shooting spot when that news came in. I conveyed the happy news first to Ajith and he stood up and applauded genuinely. Then, the whole unit joined in the applause and clapped hands. Other directors such as Balaji Sakthivel, Lingusamy, many producers and 100s of other well-wishers congratulated me subsequently"
