Thala - Thalapathy take over every possible screen on Jan 14th

While on the one hand, we have Veeram and Jilla releasing on the same day, Jan 10th, in theaters across the world, the television screens are also set to witness an Ajith - Vijay battle. Yes, the two mega stars' recent releases, Arrambam and Thalaivaa, are set to be telecast as Pongal Day specials on Jan 14th at 6 pm, in Jaya TV and Sun TV respectively.

Arrambam is still running in a few screens across Chennai city and it has completed 70 days at the box-office. This fast television premiere has come as a pleasant surprise. Vijay's Thalaivaa was released in August and its premiere is also a fairly quick one. This also goes to show the changing nature of the film business, what with the window between the theatrical release and television premiere shrinking with every passing year.

Raja Rani, which recently completed 100 days, will be shown in Vijay TV on 14th while Vishal's recent Diwali hit Pandianadu will be shown on Raj TV on the same day. Siva Karthikeyan's biggest hit till date, Varuthapadatha Vaalibar Sangam will be Kalaignar TV's Pongal special.

What a grand film feast it promises to be for the TV audiences and this gives them one more reason to be glued to the television sets this Pongal.
