Exclusive - 'Mass' is the word on Vaalu's 'SHARP' trailer ...

The trailer of Simbu's Vaalu directed by Vijay Chander, is set to be released tomorrow and theatres screening Velai Illa Pattathari would be showcasing Vaalu's much expected trailer as well. We at Behindwoods got the chance to get an exclusive peek at the trailer cut by editor T.S.Suresh and we must say that the film promises to be a perfect commercial outing for the scores of Simbu fans. 

 

Simbu has done mass movies earlier too, such as Osthe, Silambattam, Dum and Kuthu, and those were purely catered at his fans with Simbu in an over-the-top avatar. But with Vaalu, it looks like the mainstream audience would also have plenty to savour.

 

The dialogues are light-hearted and also 'massy' and 'sharp', true to Simbu's character name in the film. Thaman has a big responsibility to shoulder the movie and complement all these dialogues and Simbu's energetic screen presence. There are the typical villains here too, and the vocal exchanges between them and Simbu are sure to set the pulses racing.

 

The camaraderie between Simbu and Santhanam, which was a highlight of films such as Vaanam and Silambattam, is evident here too and their scenes promise a riot at the theatres. Hansika is at her youthful and cherubic best and her romance and chemistry with Simbu is expected to shine through in the songs and the romance scenes.

 

Finally, despite being in production for close to 2 years, Vaalu does't look like a dated product and the look of all the lead characters is consistent. DoP Sakthi has given the film a grand, sleek look. We hope that the movie's content would also retain the same freshness, when it releases soon in theatres.

 

PS - With Dhanush getting ready to thrill audiences as Raghuvaran in VIP from tomorrow onwards, there is a little reference to the legendary Raghuvaran in Vaalu's trailer too.
