Buy a ticket and be the Producer
Dec 05, 2013After graduating from the reputed BITS Pilani, Selvamani Selvaraj found his calling in films and soon enough he was assisting Oscar winning director Ang Lee for the Indian schedule of Life Of Pi. Having been associated with 3 films thus far, Selvamani has now branched off on his own with a unique project, titled Nila.
Nila, which the director calls an ‘experimental mood piece’, is an 80 minute independent Tamil film set in Mumbai. Selvamani has been firm in his belief that he will not be commercializing the script in a bid to get a theatre release. This has prompted the director to initiate a crowd funding campaign to call out for investors who are interested to chip in with their contributions and ensure that the project stays true to its experimental nature and at the same time be an engaging mood film.
Each contributor will be credited in the film and there are also several other goodies to claim by contributing to this project.
The project is slated to go on floors on January 20th and the crowd funding campaign is presently live on http://www.indiegogo.com/
