Thanga Meengal Ram unhappy with multiplexes attitude

Acclaimed director of Thanga Meengal and Kattradhu Tamizh, Ram, has been recently heard voicing his displeasure over the attitude and functioning of multiplexes. He elaborated by saying, “The present situation is such that the multiplexes first preference is always a film featuring a big star, next would be a Hollywood movie, followed by a Bollywood movie and then a Tollywood movie and then if they have any room in the schedule then they may consider small Tamil films.”

He went on to laud the efforts of producers like J. Sathish Kumar who ensured that a film like Thanga Meengal could achieve a decent release and Ram was happy that the film Rummy too is under the wings of JSK Film Corporation and he hoped that many more producers with the same mindset come forward to improve the state of small Tamil films.
