Tamil song earns Oscar nomination !

Renowned Carnatic musician Bombay Jayashri, is on the brink of achieving one of the biggest honors in the world of entertainment. The singer had lent her voice to one of the tracks of Ang Lee’s ‘Life of Pi’, which has earned itself a total of 11 nominations at the Oscars this year.


Bombay Jayashri had written and sung “Pi’s Lullaby” for the film’s composer Mychael Danna. This is also the first instance where a Tamil song has made its way to the Academy Awards. The official awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on Feb 24th and the entire nation will be watching closely and rooting for her.
