Suriya and Karthi may be connected by blood but the two are definitely leading their own lives. Both their careers got off to contrasting starts and Suriya is the first to recognize Karthi’s achievement in his spectacular debut, Paruthiveeran. Suriya says that the heights Karthi reached through that film is something he wishes to scale someday.

The brothers though apparently have no influence or interference over the other’s career. Suriya says that he doesn’t discuss scripts with Karthi and each of them decides what’s best suited for themselves. With a super senior star, Sivakumar, as the head of the family both the actors handle their own affairs without seeking assistance from their father.
