Ravi Mariya, the actor who has acted in movies like Veyil, Manam Kothi Paravai and Desingu Raja is a busy man these days, shooting for the upcoming Jilla, starring Vijay and Mohanlal.
 

70 percent of the talkie portions of Jilla have been completed and the movie is nearing finish. Ravi Mariya is playing the antagonist in the movie and his bald appearance has already been talked about.
 

The actor was a delighted man when he spoke to our correspondent about his role in Jilla and how people have accepted him.
 

“I have shot for 32 days for Jilla. I still have about 10 days of work left. I am playing the villain with a little comedy streak. I have a prominent name in the movie, but will more often be called Mottai.”
 

When asked about his latest tangle with humour, this is what the actor said.
 

“I believe I have a good sense of humour in real life. But very few directors have exploited it because of my villainous looks. Director Vasantha Balan told me that I will suit better in villain characters and hence casted me as the villain in Veyyil. The character did suit my appearance.
 

However director Ezhil has explored the humour quotient in me and gave me humorous roles in Manam Kothi Paravai and Desingu Raja. I am getting a lot of good feedback after my performance in Desingu Raja. I am doing such a role in Ezhil’s next movie too.”
 

The actor signed off saying he would be glad to accept comedy roles like what he has done in Manam Kothi Paravai and Desingu Raja.
