Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan and Trisha honored at Centenary Celebrations of Indian Cinema

The Centenary celebrations of Indian Cinema kicked off in the city of Chennai earlier this evening at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. The inaugural of the 4 day festival began on an auspicious note with the traditional lamp lit by the hands of the Chief Minister J. Jayalalitha, Vaijanthimala and Saroja Devi.

The opening day also saw 59 handpicked individuals being honored with a specially designed trophy, a miniature model of a bioscope. Below is the list of awardees for their contribution to cinema,
