Pandiraj goes to the Police

Director and producer Pandiraj filed a complaint with the police, claiming that some people are using his name to cheat aspiring actors. Clarifying, Pandiraj said the following.
 

“Lately, a fraud group has been using my name to cheat people, particularly children in the name of getting them a chance in one of my next films. The group has supposedly been charging people a sum of Rs 49,000 in the process. I request people not to believe any such attempts.
 

I have always encouraged new and young talents. If I want to introduce some one, I make sure to contact them personally. I neither use phones nor agents to get in touch with them. Also kindly note that I didnt ask anyone to act on behalf of me to hire new talents.
 

When it comes to cinema, people seem to forget to think twice before approaching some one. It is very sad that such fraudulent activities are still happening in the industry. Not just me, many of my industry friends have been a victim of such dishonourable activities.
 

Let me reassure again that I havent delegated casting duties to any middlemen or third party. This is an attempt to defame me and my production house, Pasanga Productions. So, please believe no one, who claims to get anyone a chance in my next film.
 

I have filed a formal complaint with the R5 Police Station, Virugambakkam, against the group.”
