It is well known that Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan are very good friends. So it came as no surprise that when Kamal Haasan was facing immense trouble, Rajini extended his support and stood by him. The touched Kamal thanked him personally and went one step further by arranging a special screening of Vishwaroopam with its vaunted Auro 3D in Rajini's own house on Wednesday evening, a day prior to its release in TN (February 7th)!

When Vishwaroopam was banned in Tamil Nadu for two weeks, Rajini was one of the first to express his support for Kamal. He personally requested the leaders of the Muslim groups to give up their request for the ban and suggested that they sit down with Kamal in order to work out a compromise.

Kamal Haasan also faced massive financial loss on account of the delayed release on home ground. Again Rajini stepped forward and offered to do a film for him free of cost. The friendship between the two greatest actors of their generation is truly inspiring!
