While there are reports emerging from certain sections that Bala’s Paradesi is slated for release next Friday, 15^th February, an official word from the production house is that the film will have a worldwide release only a week later, on 22^nd February.

It is believed that prestigious film festivals such as the Cannes Film Festival are interested to screen Paradesi in their latest edition, but that will mean that the film’s release is required to be restricted to just India. Since director Bala has already sold the International rights, the decision may not rest on his hands to stall the worldwide release for the sake of Cannes.

The film has been acquired by Studio Green and stars Atharva, Dhansika and Vedhika in the lead with music by G.V. Prakash.
