This Deepavali saw a handful of movies with entirely different offerings releasing to impressive openings. Both Thuppakki and Poda Podi have managed to please the audiences while Thankar Bachan’s Ammavin Kaipesi received appreciation from his patrons.
But many more movies will battle it out in the coming weeks at the box-office. The following weeks in November will see film releases like Red Giant’s Neerparavai directed by Seenu Ramasamy, Balaji Tharaneetharan’s comedy Naduvala Konjam Pakkatha Kannom, Venky’s Konjam Koffee Konjam Kadhal and Thiru’s Samar starring Vishal.
December will welcome some more anticipated films like Gautam Menon’s Neethane En Ponvasantham and Bala’s Paradesi, while rumor mills are suggesting that Viswaroopam too might see the light at the end of this year.
For fans of Tamil cinema the festivities seem to be continuing till the end of this year and straight into Pongal which will again see a slew of big star releases.
