Actor Ajmal who co-starred in Ko with Jiiva is eagerly anticipating the release of his solo hero film Vetri Selvan. In the meanwhile, the actor has signed up a prestigious Telugu project under National award winning director Vamsy.

It is believed that Ajmal will be cast opposite five newcomers in what the actor claims to be an interesting story. The casting of Ajmal was unqiue and innovative in its own way as the film’s production house ran a poll across various colleges in Hyderabad to cast their vote for who should play the lead, and as it turned out Ajmal emerged as the choice of the youth. The film will have music by Chakri and shooting is expected to commence from Republic day.

Ajmal had earlier played the second lead in Rachcha, Ragalai in Tamil, with Ram Charan and Tamannah earning him good visibility in the Telugu market.
