Ko, directed by KV Anand and featuring Jiiva, Piaa and Karthika in the lead roles has won the Sri Nagi Reddy Memorial Award for best film, 2011. KV Anand is delighted with this recognition for his film and thanked producers, Elred Kumar and Jayaraman of RS Infotainment for the trust they showed in the script.
The director talked about some of the difficulties he faced before the film was made - Top heroes rejected Ko saying that since it was about the press and politics it was off the beaten track or there was no heroism for the hero and one hero wanted to change the heroine. Finally, the film was made with Jiiva and the move paid off for all concerned!
