Ethir Neechal, starring Siva Karthikeyan and Priya Anand in the lead has been produced by Dhanush. During a meet, Senthil, director of the film, said that Dhanush wanted to do a film with Siva in the lead. Vetrimaaran, under whom Senthil was working as an assistant, had introduced him to Dhanush in the first place. Later, Ethir Neechal bore fruition.    

Word is that, this film is an usual comedy film with Siva Karthikeyan’s unusual problem being the highlight. According to Siva Karthikeyan, such characters can be spotted anywhere in the world. Adding to this, there are other interesting elements like love and friendship in Ethir Neechal.

Dhanush, apart from producing the film has written and sung two songs. Anirudh has yet again given a hit album and Yo Yo Honey and Hip Hop Thamizha Aadhi add flavor to it.
