KRRISH 3 MOVIE REVIEW
Release Date : Nov 04,2013 Review by : Behindwoods Review Board
Hrithik Roshan as Rohit Mehra and Krishna Mehra makes Krrish 3 a typical Krrish-esque film. The stunning VFX carefully nurtured by the Red Chillies and Pixion VFX teams is the backbone of the movie that makes it stand tall with head raised high.
Hrithik may have slightly overdone Rohit Mehra as far as the acting is concerned, but that somehow seems to suit the character. Krishna Mehra’s subtle intro shot with an absolutely ripped physique will make you forget the subtleness in the introduction of the hero.
Rakesh Roshan looks to have put his pen to the best use. Be it ‘Kaal’, played by Vivek Oberoi, ‘Kaya’, played by Kangna Ranaut or the other ‘Manvars’ who appear in the movie; the characters have been described very well and the artists have been spot on in delivering what was exactly required.
Well, the pen’s job just doesn’t get over with the pre-production. The director has taken a step further and has given life to it making it play a very important role in the movie, thereby delivering its magic on screen as well.
Vivek Oberoi is a powerful villain and his dialogue delivery and voice echo through the walls of his scientific world that shower the theaters with the power of his antagonism.
Kaal’s laboratory is an unimaginable piece of art that has been created with a neat blend of some mindblowing art direction and appealing visual effects. Kangna Ranaut is stunning in every frame and her sleek transitions from one human body to the other are yet another example of the awe-inspiring visual effects.
Rakesh Roshan has portrayed Mumbai from a completely different perspective and some of the aerial shots make you feel that you are on Alladin’s magic carpet that is taking you on a jolly ride around the city. Priyanka Chopra as Priya Mehra is lovable and cheerful and her character is used as the ultimate villain’s blackmail tool like we see in most Indian films.
Krrish’s heroic deeds offer a few goosebump-ish moments that do have the spunk to push the ardent fans of Hrithik to the edge of their seats. However, the only drawback that might push Krrish 3 to the back seat is the music. The songs sound outdated especially when the movie is set in a completely futuristic back drop.
When the Indian film industry churns out romantic movies and emotional dramas every year, movies like Krrish 3 come out with a definite thrust that shout out to the world that we are indeed world class.
Krrish is not just a name, it is a feeling. Every human being who feels from within and offers a helping hand to the deserving can be called Krrish. And when the name has the number 3 suffixed along with it, the feeling gets three times better.
Produced and directed by Rakesh Roshan, Krrish 3 comes out with a loud bang a day ahead of the festive season and appears to be running away with cheers and whistles that sound louder than the stomp it came out with.
