The
movie was scripted and directed by the ace director Shankar.
In this movie he appeared in a dual role, playing as son
and father. The son was a corrupt government official while
the father was a freedom fighter holding
lofty
values. The difficulties faced
by the duo and how good ultimately prevailed over evil was
portrayed with gripping screenplay and subtle humor. Kamal
put up a splendid performance as an old man with a special
kind of make-up. Kamal won the National award for his unparalleled
performance.
