TAMIL MOVIE RELEASE EXPECTATION

Maranthen Mannithen is a bilingual movie, the Telugu version of which is called Gundello Godari, was released just a couple of weeks ago. Directed by Kumar Nagendra and produced by Lakshmi Manchu who did a cameo in Mani Ratnam's Kadal recently, Maranthen Mannithen has Aadhi and Taapsee Pannu alongside Lakshmi Manchu herself and Sundeep Kishan in lead roles.

Produced under Lakshmi's banner Manchu Entertainment, the movie is a love story set against the backdrop of the 1980s floods in Andhra. Shot widely in Andhra, in Rajamundry, a village set was erected for the movie's shoots complete with 120 huts and houses. It's also said that the sets are constructed completely using eco-friendly materials.

Another highlight of the movie is Ilayaraja's music that received favorable response from critics. The songs are becoming a rage in Telugu now that the film is slowly climbing its way up in the box office charts. Maranthen Mannithen also has Ravi Babu, Suja Varunee, Jeeva, Annapurna and Mumaith Khan.

If the Tamil version of the movie's regional aspects are kept in mind, Maranthen Mannithen has a good chance to be picked up by the viewership in Tamil owing to Aadhi and Taapsee's popularity.
