LINGAA MOVIE RELEASE EXPECTATION

The most awaited blockbuster of the year, Lingaa starring our Superstar Rajinikanth, is going to release this week. Post Kochadaiiyaan, Rajinikanth wanted this release as soon as possible. The visuals of the trailer display a story revolving around two-time periods. Sonakshi Sinha is seen in the ancient era with earthy costumes and Anushka Shetty is seen in the current era with a very strong role.

The expectation from the movie stands at an all time high with hi-profile crew where the music is by AR Rahman, cinematography is by R. Rathnavelu and editing is by Samjith Mhd. The film is seen to have a fresh look and feel. It is also said that there are some locations in the film where Lingaa is the first movie to be shot. Cameraman Ranthnavelu says "We are showing Ferrari world showroom, Abu Dhabi, in Lingaa for the first time and it looks rich. Shots in Macau are also very new for the audience to see".

Actor Vijaykumar claims, "Lingaa is not an usual movie. It is an ambitious effort that talks of unity, patriotism and water scarcity". Post Sivaji this is reportedly the next film where Rajinikanth has touched upon an important social message.

"Lingaa is truly an exceptional film in every way. It showcases two eras but unlike other movies we haven't used any sepia tone or black & white effect for the period sequences. We have made the colour blend with the entire movie. The visuals that depict the present have a lot of contemporary touch", says cameraman Rathnavelu alias Randy.

He adds, "When we shot near a dam in Karnataka, the weather conditions were very adverse, but Rajini sir cooperated with full focus. Being a newcomer in the Tamil industry, Sonakshi Sinha was very stunned with the working style that we pulled off during the entire movie".

On the other hand director KS Ravikumar echoed his views stating "Rajini sir and me took it as a decision to not talk about the movie, until it's done".

Just three days away, Lingaa looks like it is going to sweep the box office records taking it to the top in the charts. Keep your fingers crossed until then.
