The idiot box turns into the horror box, Kollywood never got so ‘out of the box’! The focus was on the box of horrors which were turning into reality in the household. The scaring part was done very well by the lighting, the camera and the background score. The hero of the film was definitely the director, ably supported by P.C. Sreeram. The pivot of the film never shifted to the male protagonist in spite of the role being handled by Madhavan. The story, narration and technique were the focal points and the sincerity towards these aspects brought out a final product worth being spooked by.
