This is a very interesting cat and mouse game between the hero and a highly ranked police officer. The zing in the whole affair is due to the fact that ‘Gentleman’ lets the police officer know that it is the same person who is behind the series of heists that have been taking place. In the end, the urge to find ‘Gentleman’ becomes a matter of personal pride for the cop, rather than an official obligation. Though the way in which ‘Gentleman’ is finally found out might look serendipitous and far fetched, the hide and seek played by cop and criminal is definitely interesting.
