The Best debuts of 2008

	The year 2008 was a disappointing year as far as debuts of male leads was concerned, there were no major impacts. Santhanoo Bhagyaraj could have done with a better start; he is trying to put Sakkarakatti behind him. Krishna from Alibaba did get a pat on the back for his hard working performance but that was about it. Ajmal created an impact with his performance in Anjathe, where his role started as a hero but eventually turned into an anti-hero. This probably paved way for a number of projects that he currently has. Maybe, Santhanam and Kanja Karuppu playing the lead in Arai En 305-il Kadavul and Sasi’s role in Subramaniapuram were the brightest spots.
