One of the most profound movies that dealt with contemporary social issues, Mahanadhi had no stunt scenes at all, save for the one that happens in the prison. The atrocities in the prison are intervened by Kamal that spells trouble for the notoriously bad tempered jailor. As a result, Kamal is battered brutally in the jail and is forced to lie that he tripped over. However, Kamal pays back duly and how? He almost disfigures the jailor (Mahanadhi Shankar) making this one of the scenes the viewers connected well with.
