A very 'novel' launch for Puthagam
Puthagam, a long-time dream of TV actor and anchor Vijay Adhiraj finally became a reality today. The movie was launched at an event that made us believe that Vijay Adhiraj indeed has a solid vision for this movie. The stage was set with many books, each about 6-ft tall, replicas of famous works of renowned personalities including Mahtama Gandhi. The most wonderful touch was when these books were opened; the historical personalities who had written them walked out of them, much to the surprise of the audience present. The applause was almost spontaneous. Inside the replicas were a huge number of books lined up. Vijay Adhiraj has definitely taken the title ‘Puthagam’ seriously.
The film will star Arya’s younger brother Sathya, along with Vijay and Sanjay. The heroine will be Rakul Preet Singh, a Miss India contestant. The film is set to go on floors soon and will have music by James Vasanthan, another TV star who made it big in cinema. Let’s hope that Vijay Adhiraj’s more than a decade long dream is something that will enchant all of us. The start was definitely promising.
