At a recent press meet, director Parameshwar talked about his film, Uyir Ezhuthu. Produced by Madras Film Academy, the film has Mahesh Raja in the lead role and Varsha is the heroine. The director admitted that they faced considerable difficulties while shooting the film, as they could not obtain permission to carry out the shoot in certain locations they wished to use in Chennai and Pondicherry. Finally those portions were canned in Chalakudi.
Uyir Ezhuthu tackles the sensitive issue of terrorism which is why it was a challenge to shoot the film. The team also filmed certain scenes in Italy, at a spot in the middle of the sea. Parameshwar said he is relieved that the team managed to pull it off.
Shooting is almost complete and the film is heading towards the finish line. The director commended his team for their hard work and said he is waiting to see how the audience will react to Uyir Ezhuthu.
