The entire Tamil cinema industry is mourning the death of Legendary Director J Mahendran who had passed away earlier today. Stars and fans are paying homage to him at his house, in Chennai, presently. Film personalities Rajinikanth, Kamal Hassan, Bharathiraja and Ilayaraja had earlier visited his house and paid their respects.
Vijay Sethupathi came down to his house and conveyed his condolences for the director’s demise. He, very sadly, said,”I have come to this house thrice before and this time it feels very hard for me. I am a big fan of director Mahendran. He has even narrated a short story for me. I have asked asked him many times to direct a film with me in it. So it very sad for me now.”
Udhayanidhi Stalin paid his homage to the director and talked to the media with a heavy heart. He said,”He had acted as a father for me in a film but he truly showed his love and affection towards me as a father. His demise is a loss not only to cinema but to everyone of us.”
Chinni Jayanth also paid his homage with respect and said,”He is a Guru to me who made me act in my debut film with Superstar in Kai Kodukkum Kai. I can never forget him in my life.” Various celebrities have paid their respects to the legendary director. Behindwoods along with every individual mourns for the unbearable loss of Director Mahendran.
