Director Chimbu Deven is one of the most popular directors in the Tamil Film Industry, known for having elements of fantasy in his films. He debuted with 23-am Pulikesi that had Vadivelu in the lead role, and went on to make films like Arai En 305il Kadavul, Irumbukottai Murattu Singam, Puli and others.
His last film was Puli, that had Vijay in the lead role with Shruti Haasan and Hansika Motwani as the leading ladies. It had Sridevi Boney Kapoor and Sudeep Kichcha as the antagonists. The film was hailed as an experimental move by Vijay to try films out of his comfort zone.
Now, the director is here with his next film, and this one is titled Kasadatabara. The most surprising part about this project is that there are going to be 6 heroes, 6 heroines, 6 music directors, 6 editors and 6 cameramen.
The film is bankrolled by Venkat Prabhu under the banner Black Ticket Company, in association with Ravindran under the banner Trident Arts. The film will be set against a backdrop of South Madras. Stay tuned for more updates.
