The curious case of Ajith's intro number in 'Thala 55'

 

But in some interviews prior to this announcement, Gautham Menon had indicated that 'Thala 55' would be a very 'Non-Ajith' film without any punch dialogues or intro song or injected heroism. Ajith himself had apparently told the director to not make any 'mass hero' compromises for his sake.

 

Now was GVM's decision to opt for this intro song in 'Thala 55' taken to delight Ajith fans particularly? Interestingly Gautham had told some years back that the 'Karka Karka' number in Vettaiyadu Vilaiyadu was purely kept to please Kamal's fans in the interior mass belts. But the way it gelled with the movie was terrific and the song continues to be a cult classic to this day.

 

Is 'Adhaaru Udhaaruu' another 'Karka Karka' in the making or will it be a different kind of intro number? We will have to wait and watch.
