Suriya's début is finally official

As we at BW reported a long time back, Suriya has indeed joined the elite list of actors – Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan, Ilayathalapathy Vijay, Vikram, Dhanush, STR, and his brother Karthi - who have turned playback singers for their films. An official word has come out that he will be singing a Yuvan Shankar Raja composition in his upcoming flick, Anjaan to be directed by Lingusamy.
 

Reportedly, the song is a romantic one set at Maharashtra’s Panchgani. It’s penned by Na Muthukumar and the opening line is “Ek Dho Theen Char…”. Suriya has already sung for a TV commercial and this one will mark his singing debut for films.
 

Anjaan has Samantha in the female lead, and has Santhosh Sivan’s camera. The 69 seconds teaser trailer of the movie has been censored with a U/A certificate and it would be released on the 5th of July. The music would be out on the 17th of July.
