Not Dhanush again…

Dhanush has done the lead in all three Mithran Jawahar’s Tamil movies- Yaaradi Nee Mohini, Kutty and Uthama Puthiran. The hit combo will not come together for Mithran’s next movie. Titled Samiyattam, the director has cast actor Srikanth in the lead role. The actor himself will produce the film under his banner, Golden Friday Films.
 

Samiyattam is a remake of the recent successful Telugu film, Swami Ra Ra. Srikanth will lead the cast and a Mumbai based heroine is being signed for the female lead. SS Music Pooja, Murugadoss and Sampath have been roped in too.

The story is about a stolen Ganesha statue and the narration will be a highlight, say makers. Srikanth, Pooja and Murugadoss play thieves in the movie and Samiyattam will be a full length comedy movie.

The film is being shot in Chennai and Pondicherry. Gopi Jagadeeshwaran is behind the lens and newcomer Shravan is working on the music.
