Sarath and Iniya's encounter at Velachery

There is a debate as to whether encounter killings are right or not. While on one side we have the police force who are justified in their action, the Human Rights Activists are contesting the same. It has been said that, in India, there are approximately 586 cases of false encounters.  This seems to be the premise of Velachery, an upcoming film to be produced by Sivam Movies and directed by Thirumalai Vendhan starring Sarathkumar and Iniya in the lead.

While Sarathkumar plays the encounter specialist, Iniya will be an advocate fighting for human rights. According to the team, Velachery is said to provide all the answers for encounter debates.  

Nizhalgal Ravi, Sendrayan, Imman Annachi and Singamuthu form the supporting cast while Taj Noor is scoring for the lines of Pa. Vijay, Viveka, Snehan and Gaana Bala. Chandran is the DoP and Billa Jagan is choreographing the action sequences. Velacherry is being shot in Chennai and Goa currently.
