Ever since the ‘Reality in the making of Paradesi’ video was released online yesterday evening, the social media space has been buzzing with negative feedback about this video. It is truly disturbing to see director Bala brutally spanking and kicking the cast members just to get the right shot on camera. What was even more shocking was the sort of devilish laugh that Bala would put on his face towards the end of the video.

Acclaimed directors of the current generation like Balaji Mohan, Karthik Subbaraj, CS Amudhan, Thiru and Arivazhagan made their displeasure evident in their Twitter accounts. Other technicians and producers from the fraternity like Udhayanidhi Stalin and Dhayanidhi Alagiri also echoed similar sentiments.
 

We have come to know that this was a deliberate move by the team of the movie to generate some buzz about the movie. The online advance booking which opened a few days back had been low-key to say the least and the team was desperately looking to kickstart some sort of buzz about the movie. In that sense, their purpose has been served and now everyone has some opinion or the other to share about this reality teaser, albeit negative.

At the end of the day, any publicity is good publicity and in this case the negative wave of public sentiment is just kindling the curiosity on Paradesi even more.
