Puratchi Thamizhan Sathyaraj has slowly but surely carved a niche for himself as a character actor, after having donned numerous successful roles as a villain and a lead hero. Some of the prominent character roles that he has done in the recent past include the ones in Nanban and the Telugu movie Mirchi.

Two of his biggest films, Chennai Express and Thalaivaa, are getting ready for release tomorrow, and the kind of release that both these films are getting will surely make Sathyaraj a really thrilled man.

Chennai Express is opening in more than 4200 screens across the world (3500 in India and 700 overseas) in 50 plus countries and 10 languages, while Thalaivaa is looking at anywhere between 1300 to 1400 screens, in its Tamil and Telugu versions put together.

All this means that Sathyaraj will be seen in close to 6000 screens across the world, starting tomorrow and the veteran actor's skills and exploits would be there for the whole world to see and cherish.

While Sathyaraj plays a Tamil Nadu Don in Chennai Express, he plays a Godfather-like Tamil figure in Mumbai in Thalaivaa. We wish both these roles make the desired impact and bring more laurels to this veteran star.
