The lead pair of Chennai Express, Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone met the press in Chennai yesterday 2nd August 2013 and also had immense fun at the fashion show that was arranged to entertain them. SRK was at his eloquent best during the press meet.

“As much as I love Chennai, I have big problems when it comes to IPL. I get nightmares when I come to Chennai,” started off the B-Town Baadshah. Agreeing that this meet is more of a home coming for the film, he added that Chennai Express will show the South of India in the spirit it should be portrayed in. “Normally in Hindi films we haven’t really showcased the south and the talents it possesses in the way it should have been,” he reasoned.

He also wished everyone takes the Lungi song in the right spirit. Talking about the song, SRK says, “Something as honest as Lungi dance comes from the heart, when you really want to give respect, tribute and love to someone as great as Rajini sir. We take him very seriously, but he himself is fun. By all means, he is the finest superstar and icon we have in the country.”

Adding more spice to the meet, he revealed why he was hesitant in wearing a Lungi. “It starts exposing too much sometimes,” says he. Ask him if he would do a project alongside Rajinikanth, he sums up the event saying, “If I’m called I would jump at it. It’ll be such a big honour.”
