The trailer of Kochadaiyaan will be released in the prestigious Cannes Film Festival 2013. The director of the film Soundarya R Ashwin updated the progress of the film in her micro-blogger. “Hey guys. Trailer is shaping out well. Working on more surprises. All efforts are going in to release it asap .Will keep u posted,’ wrote the director.

From his side, AR Rahman, who is doing the music for the film, tweeted his first impression on the film. He posted, “Had a sneak preview of Rajini Sir's motion capture results for one of the songs from Kochadaiyaan. Looks like animation on Steroids! EPIC!”
