It was earlier reported that Lakshmi Manchu would be performing Nenjukulle, in Kadal. But for reasons unknown, the song was placed for a different sequence in the film. Lakshmi Manchu, who was shocked and surprised by the change, said that she was unaware of the cut and that a major chunk of her role was chopped too.

“But I`m sure Mani sir had his reasons and I’m still grateful to have been a part of his movie,” added the actress.
 

Meanwhile, her production venture, Maranthen Mannithen starring Aadhi, Taapsee, herself and Sandeep Kishan in the lead roles has been scheduled to release on 22^nd February.
