Every up and coming director wants Santhanam to be in their film. But, where is the time? He has more than two dozen projects in his plate now and the actor has been running around lately to meet all his commitments.
 

But, in order to honour the requests of the young directors, who approach him, he is recommending his budding colleagues and friends in the field for the roles.  Also, as a mark of friendship, he does cameos in the films, if he is asked to.   
 

Meanwhile, few of the interesting films he is currently part of are Thalaivaa, Vinayagam Brothers, Shankar’s I, All In All Azhagu Raja, Ya Yaa, Singam 2, Vaalu, Endrendrum Punnagai, Raja Rani and the list goes on.
