They are back, with the film Thangam, trying
to revive the same fervor they had created in
their earlier movies like Nadigan, Brahma and
Pangaali. Anand, a former assistant of K. Rajeshwar,
directs this movie. According to the director,
their combo rocks like never before in Thangam.
Saying that they have attempted to recreate the
song Poo Mazhai Thoovi… from the MGR classic
Ninaithathai Mudipavan with Sathyaraj, he said
that the same pancake and wig used by MGR in the
original has been used in this movie too. The
song has visuals of Sathyaraj and MGR so well
interlaced that it is going to be difficult to
tell the two apart.
