Speaking at the audio launch of Kalloori, Ameer
said he had approached three leading recording
companies and found that there existed a racket
among them as they all joined hands and decided
against offering the price he quoted. The movie
eventually had a good reception for its music
scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
This experience seems to have left a deep scar
in Ameer’s mind so much so that he made
an open offer to producer-director Shankar, who
was announcing the commencement of his S Audios
with Kalloori, that he was willing to give the
audio rights of his home production, Yogi, to
S Audios. Further, he said that he would agree
to issue the rights to S Audios for free if Shankar
was willing to release the audio under his S Audios
banner, in an effort to break the racket formed
by the audio companies. Being a director himself,
Shankar will certainly understand Ameer’s
struggle. This enticing offer from Ameer is definitely
the one Shankar can’t refuse. We will have
to wait and watch Shankar’s next move in
this direction.
