Vettai's hunt for box office glory has been successful as the film has had a wonderful 50 day run. The Lingusamy film with Madhavan, Arya, Amala Paul and Sameera Reddy has had a positive response from the audience because of its pace, generous helpings of masala and Yuvan's music. Arya and Maddy made a great team as brothers and their performances have been appreciated.
Now Bollywood is eyeing the film for a remake. Word is that Shahid Kapoor may play Arya's role and the hunt is on to find someone to fill Madhavan's big shoes and cop uniform. Maddy himself could not reprise this role because of a nagging knee injury.
