It has been suggested that this film is a remake of the Telugu film Yemaindi Ee Velaa starring Varun Sandesh and Nisha Agarwal. It is about a boy and girl who fall in love and get married only to break up and start dating other people. Whether they reunite or move on with their lives forms the rest of the plot. The Telugu film was talked about for its boldness in departing from convention.
