Recently, a press meet was held by the makers of the upcoming Kannada-Tamil bilingual Chandra, starring Shriya and Prem Kumar in the lead. The film’s director Roopa Iyer said, “This is a story of a contemporary princess, a descendent of a royal family. It is basically the love story of the princess.”
Shriya, while talking to the press said, “I haven’t been shooting for the film for long. But the entire team is treating me like a real princess.” The director has acquired permission to shoot at few of India’s alluring palaces including the Mysore Palace and Bangalore palace.
The Kannada star Prem Kumar, who is making his debut in Tamil with Chandra, requested the people of Tamil Nadu to encourage him as they did when people like Rajinikanth, Prakash Raj, Murali came from Karnataka in search of a career.
The film also stars Ganesh Venkatraman, Vijay Kumar, Vivekh, Srinath and Sumithra in supporting roles. Gautam Srivatsa has already composed 6 songs for the film. PHK Doss is helming the camera and the film is being produced by Indian Classical Arts and Narasimha Arts.
