Sivakumar started the Sri Sivakumar Educational and Charitable Trust and has been helping with the education of deserving students for more than 3 decades. His sons - Suriya and Karthi are also following in his footsteps and their dad is very proud of them. The 33rd award function of this trust was held recently and Suriya and Karthi participated in the event.
Suriya gave 20 students Rs. 10,000 each to help meet expenses. Karthi in his address, said that he would love to continue the good work of his father and contribute more to society. Thai Tamil Palli which provides primary education in Tindivanam and Vazhai for children without the means to study was awarded Rs. 1.5 lakh.
