RK Selvamani, who has directed some of the best action thrillers Captain Prabhakaran and Pulan Visaaranai and romantic films like Chembaruthi, will soon direct a film titled Akhila. He is one of the favorite directors for Vijaykanth and Sarath Kumar as they got immortalized roles under his direction.
In Akhila, RK Selvamani dons the greasepaint for the first time by playing the protagonist. His role will be that of a revolutionist. RK Selvamani had been planning for this film for a long time and has decided that the time is ripe to begin the project. Akhila will be a small budget film, sources in Kollywood report.
