There was rumor doing the rounds that Richa would be doing an item number in Prabhu Deva's Hindi remake of Siruthai entitled Rowdy Rathore. This film will have Akshay Kumar in the lead and is produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
Richa was quick to deny the rumor and used the opportunity to stress that she is in the industry to do meaningful roles and item numbers are out of the question for her. She said that she has no idea where the gossip came from as she does not know anyone associated with the film. Richa is currently busy with her Telugu film with Prabhas and Bengali film with Prosenjit which coincidentally is also a remake of Siruthai.
