Popular singer and Grammy winner, Tanvi Shah participated in an auction that was a fundraising event for Bindu Arts School organized by the Marriot at the Courtyard in keeping with their Spirit to Serve policy. Bindu Arts School is a school for those afflicted with leprosy started by Austrian artist, Werner Dornik with activist Padma Venkataraman. The age of the students ranges from 20 - 84.
The students have produced an impressive array of paintings drawn from their own personal experiences. The money raised will go towards the welfare of the inhabitants of the school and the initiative also serves to increase social awareness towards their plight. The paintings will also be available for public viewing from March 19th, at the Marriot.
