Vetrimaaran who won the National award for his film Aadukalam met with an accident on Friday. He had gone for the audio launch of Naan Rajavaga Pogiren, starring Nakul and Chandni and directed by Prithvi Rajkumar. Vetrimaaran has written the dialogues for this film.
The ace director, cinematographer Velraj and two of Velraj’s assistants were on their way back to Chennai when the accident took place on ECR road at around 6 30 in the morning.
Vetrimaaran sustained a few bruises while Velraj had a minor injury to his neck. These two were in the front with Vetri in the driver’s seat. The fact that they wore their seat belts prevented any further damage. The two assistants had not been wearing their seat belts and were injured pretty badly. While one of them experienced an injury to his nose, the other suffered some damage to his jaw. Both the assistants have been operated upon.
