Sir,
As expected the media - both online and magazines -- have given great accolades for Vijay, Vikram for DT.
Though one can pat the director for the way 'it was presented to the Tamil audience' and Vikram for his `hard work', is it fair on the part of the director for NOT GIVING credit to Sean-Penn starrer I AM SAM, from which literally the whole movie has been lifted, except the minor changes suiting `our culture'.
If it's a coffee shop there, it was a chocolate unit here. Resemblance to I am Sam's Sean Penn and Vikram are unavoidable. Both wearing jackets/sweaters, the haircuts.. Even the scene in which Sam slips down while arriving to meet his daughter in court.., the shoes scene in which the hero's friends (all mentally-challenged) help him, the hero following the traffic rules...etc. etc..
I was further shocked to hear that the song sung by Vikram "Appa.."was totally lifted from a 1973 album -- Whistlestop. G.V. Prakash's brazen act continues...
How do you have the guts put the slide "A film by Vijay" at the end of the film. Will heavens break if you give due credit to the makers of "I AM SAM".
My humble request to rasikas. Please see "I am Sam" with subtitles. T Arvind arvindthirumalai@gmail.com
